To investigate the consequences of urbanization on population dynamics I am using a citizen science approach whereby members of the public contribute to data collection on birds from all over the Netherlands. The Ring-MUS (Measuring urban Species) program is coordinated by the Dutch Centre for Avian Migration and Demography. Please visit their website if you would like to join the project!
Together with eBird a group of fairy-wren researchers set-up the fairywrenproject. This project allows members of the public to upload observations on fairy-wrens in Australia which will help investigate a broad range of questions relating to the role of environmental variability on populations dynamics. Please visit the website if you would like to join the project. It also has great drawings of all 10 Australian fairy-wren species made by Allison Johnson!
